Nowaday we can't accurately estimate the importance of learning foreign languages, but what we can say exactly is that the knowledge of foreign languages open many doors before us. It has many advantages and gives us many opportunities. It helps people to understand each other, to make more new friends and moreover to be a highly cultured and erudite. I have even heard the learning foreign language could prevent the brain cancer. Nowaday English is the language of international communication. over than 300 million people speak English as a mother tongue. It is one of the official languages of 30 countries in the world and it is also one of hte six languages of the United Nationts Organisation. It is a great language of W. Shakespeare, B. Shaw, C. Dickens, it is a great language of my favourite author - Arthur Conan Doyle. Learning foreigh language is a difficult process. You have to work hard to learn grammar, new words and other details of language. But it is not only learning of grammar construction, but also the knowledge of culture and history of other country. Studying English can also be useful for your career, because one of the main requirements for appliers is the knowledge of English. So the learning is not only my hobby, but it is the way to find a perspective work. One of my dreams is to work for PWC. PWC - is the short name of PriceWaterhouseCoopers - one of the most biggest and famous auditor companies. And, of course, the knowledge of English will help me to realize my dream. So if I work harder, maybe one day I can join this company. To sum up, any foreign language is worth studying. There is a proverb: "As many languages you know, as many times you are a person"
